Collection of Children: Could you please let us know if someone different is going/likely to be picking up your child. Could you please ensure that everybody around your child knows you PASSWORD. Our phone number is 07955 16 88 92. Thank you.

Lunches

The children are enjoying the lunches together and it is a lovely social time.

A few reminders please:

Could we ask you to please cut grapes in half (this was highlighted again at our recent First Aid Training)

NO NUTS please (no Nutella or peanut butter).

Home Learning Challenge-   the aim is to provide ideas and activities that you can enjoy with your child at home to support the topic or children’s next steps we are currently working with. The next steps may not be specific to your child but it will support an area of learning we are currently working on e.g. shapes. If you have any questions, please ask one of the staff.

Eligibility codes for 30-hour funding: if you are eligible for the 30 hours of funding, could you please check whether you need to re-confirm the eligibility code, although you should get a reminder text or email.

Payment of Fees:

There are going to be a number of changes in the autumn term;

As our funding for 3 and 4 year olds from Derbyshire will be paid monthly, we are going to bring our invoicing in line with that and invoices will be sent out monthly.

Could you please return the fee return slip with all payments especially if you have paid by bank transfer, it enables us to track the payments.

Naming Clothing and footwear

Please could you help us by naming all items of outdoor clothing and footwear i.e. hats, scarves, wellies and boot’s.

Cardigans and jumpers would be useful to, it is hard to match up items of clothing with children especially when they say “yes that’s mine” if they quite like the look of it!! Matching up lost items with the right owners take some detective work, please help! It would also be appreciated if you could send in indoor shoes to change into from wellies/boots. Many thanks.

Accident Book from Home:

We are required by our welfare requirements to record accidents from home e.g. if your child has a bruise on their head from a bump, please could you inform us on arrival at your child's next session after the accident/ incident. We’ll write it up and get it signed.

Closing of Gates:

Thank you for closing the gates into the preschool area. If you could close the perimeter fence gate between sessions it would be appreciated. Thanks

Pick up Time:

Could you please let a member of staff know if somebody other than the person dropping off is going to be collecting your child at the end of the session, we write this information on our white board during session time.

As different staff members are on door duty and sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances the person who is on the door at the start of the session may not necessarily be letting the children out.

Even if you put the person on the list of people authorised to collect, we will always check and ask them the password. (If you have forgotten the password that you have set, just ask and we will look it up on the registration form).

With our new families, please bear with us while we become familiar with the people around your child. Our phone number is 07955 16 88 92,Thank you.

Please keep reminding staff if your little ones need help toileting. We try to be discreet giving them the independence /privacy they ask for and unfortunately this can sometimes result in them not having their needs met! Sorry.
